Frequency Domain Differentially Encoded Qpsk for Ofdma Broadband Radio in the Local Loop

چکیده

The performance of frequency domain differentially encoded quadrature phase shift keying (FDQPSK) 26 Mb/s orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA)-systems with respect to phase noise and time-variant frequency-selective fading is analyzed. FDQPSK completely eliminates the common phase error (CPE) when used in combination with a pilot carrier. Despite its higher sensitivity to inter-carrier interferences (ICI) introduced by oscillator phase noise, FDQPSK-OFDMA with high numbers of subcarriers performs well in time-variant frequency-selective radio channels, provided high quality oscillators are utilized.
